
Steven Sinofsky directs Windows 7 and a lot more
By: Jamie Pert | July 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentWith the release of Windows 7 due late October Microsoft have now put Steven Sinofsky in charge of the whole Windows division. Before this promotion Steven was responsible for rectifying bugs in early Windows 7 releases.
It is understood that Steven will be the head of both the marketing and engineering side of Windows, Windows Live and Internet Explorer. This responsibility seems a lot for one individual, whether it turns out to be too much is yet to be seen.
Whether the recent promotion had anything to do with Internet Explorer 8’s failed advertising campaign is not yet known, however it seems to fit in nicely with the recent unwanted headline.
