Smartphone buyers choose Apple’s iPhone
By: Jamie Pert | July 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentRecent research suggests that nearly half of consumers looking to purchase a smartphone will opt for an iPhone. The recent survey showed that out of 4000 people 14 percent of them were looking to buy an integrated mobile device within the next 90 days.
44 percent of the people looking to buy an integrated mobile device within the next 90 days were looking to buy an iPhone, 23 percent said they were looking to buy a BlackBerry and 8 percent were looking to buy a Palm device. The figures do not come as a great shock following recent news on iPhone sales.
66 percent of the consumers looking to buy an iPhone stated that they had never owned an iPhone before; this shows that iPhone’s market share is continuing to grow.
