Samsung’s New Spinpoint N3U 250GB disk in front of a credit card
By: Jamie Pert | July 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentSamsung have released pictures of its latest Samsung Spinpoint N3U hard disk drive, the drive is 250GB and only 1.8 inch wide. Samsung have marketed the hard disk drive by showing its size compared to the size of a credit card.
The drive runs at 3,600rpm and has 2 x 125GB platters, it also has an 8MB cache and can withstand drops from around 20-inches. The drive also comes with a native PATA to USB controller, this should allow enclosures to be extremely small for the drive.
The drive is set to be shipped by mid July and should be available for around $200, for more information check out Engadget.
