PS3 vs. Xbox 360: Speed of certain tasks
By: Alan Ng | July 9, 2009 | 9 CommentsAfter an independant in-game study into speed tests on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles, it has been revealed that the PS3 takes around 7 times longer than the Xbox 360 when loading up in-game achievements.
That’s according to this GameZine report, who got the results from a forum poster over at NeoGaf. Several other tasks were performed such as the amount of time taken to load up the MarketPlace and PSN and loading up friends profiles.
Gamezine pointed out that the big difference in the PS3 reaction time of loading up trophies could be due to the images that need to be loaded, compared to just figures on Xbox Live.
