
Apple has iPhone, Sprint has Palm Pre, T-Mobile focus is MyTouch 3G
By: Peter Chubb | July 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentAll the major phone makers and network carriers always put their weight behind one phone, AT&T has the Apple iPhone, Sprint has the Palm Pre and T-Mobile did have the G1. T-Mobile is about to put its weight behind a new phone, one that they hope will take the fight to its competition and that is the MyTouch 3G.
The MyTouch 3G is almost the same phone as the Google Ion or the HTC Magic, which were both launched last month. T-Mobile has since made their new handset available to pre-order, customers should start to receive their handsets from August 5 onwards.
CNET News reports that T-Mobile are certainly looking to take the fight to AT&T and the Apple iPhone, but I am certain that we heard this last year when they launched the G1 and we all know how that turned out.
The new handset from T-Mobile seems to have learned from the shortcomings of the G1 and have made these changes on the MyTouch 3G. Gone is that strange hidden QWERTY keyboard, now the handset offers full touch screen.
