USB Powered Chainsaw: i.Saw
By: Peter Chubb | July 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you were looking to find the ultimate USB gadget, then I think that Wired may have found what you are looking for. Here we have the i.Saw, this USB powered chainsaw can be yours for $60, usbchainsaw.com are already taking pre-orders.
When I first heard of the i.Saw, I had to make sure that it was not a hoax, as I could not see why we would want a chainsaw powered by USB. I can see that there will be saw marks in office desks all over the country, ideal as a de-stress tool though.
The gadget is made from a mix of tough plastic and lightweight alloy, making it lightweight yet tough. There is a video, which shows the i.Saw cutting its way through an IKEA chair, but we are not sure how this is done with just five-volts of power.
