Palm and O2 talk about GSM Pre
By: Alan Ng | July 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentAfter the big news about the Palm Pre exclusivity agreement in Europe , SlashGear had the chance to sit down with O2 and Palm to discusses some of the changes (if any) for the GSM release of the Palm Pre.
As reported from Slashgear, European customers hoping to pick up the Palm Pre will have to wait as late as the Christmas holidays to pick up their handset.
Palm have said that the delay is not related to manufacturing issues of any sort and that the company will still go ahead with the 8GB version. The only change to hardware will be within it’s radio, meaning that everything else will remain as it is.
Another reason for the December launch was to give O2 plenty of time to train staff properly. No pricing details have been revealed but Palm have stated that the GSM Pre will be ‘competitively priced’.
