New Sonos Controller 200 (CR200): Specs confirmed

Sonos have recently added a new device to their website, although it is still in its preliminary stages it seems that they have redesigned their old CR100 and called it the CR200. The interface is said to be similar to the iPhone Sonos application.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Sonos Controller range, basically it is a way of accessing you favourite music from anywhere in your house wirelessly, it also allows you to control what music is played in what room.

Compared to the CR100 the CR200 is lighter and smaller and now is made out of aluminium rather than plastic. The interface has been simplified and there is no longer a scroll wheel. Sonos seemed to have tried to make the CR200 as user friendly as possible, buttons are kept to a minimum and most actions are controlled by the 3.5 inch touch screen.

The device is expected to retail at around $349, however a lot of savings can be made if you purchase it as part of a bundle. Check out the full article on SlashGear.
