We pick up on the post that we mentioned this morning about Google announcing its new Chrome OS project. Google have made it clear that this new project is separate from Android; we will endeavor to help you understand the difference with the two.
According to Google, Android was designed from the start to work on a number of devices; this includes phones, Netbooks and set-top-boxes. Google Chrome OS is different as it has been designed to not only run on Netbooks, but full-size desktop computers as well.
There are certainly areas where Chrome OS and Android will overlap, but Google believe that this choice will help benefit everyone. Users all want the same thing and that is for their computers to boot fast to access things like emails instantly. Often as time goes on our computers slow down with all the data that we store on it, Google aims to make computers always run as fast as the first day that we purchased it.
