Blu-ray: easy to damage
By: Alan Ng | July 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentRecent reports have revealed that Blu-Ray discs are becoming more susceptible to damage, after many customers complained about Netflix’s Blu-ray rental service.
According to Fudzilla, brand new Blu-ray rentals from Netflix have been appearing at customer’s homes with a 1-3mm crack through the hardcoat part along the outer edge, making the disc unplayable in the process.
Fudzilla continue to state that it is the hard coating found on the Blu-ray disc, that makes the disc susceptible to damage during delivery.
Netflix have yet to make a statement on the complaints, but if they continue to pour in from angry customers, it’s going to be a big problem for the company.
