Medion have a new next-gen netbook, the Akoya Mini E1312 and does not have the standard Intel processor offering. Instead, the E1312 comes with the AMD Sempron 210U, as this offers better power-saving processor technology.
The new netbook has an 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The hardware is much the same as any other netbook, such as its 160GB hard disk and 1GB RAM and an ATI Radeon TM Xpress, 1250 graphics. The 6-cell battery is standard, with a 9-cell option as an upgrade option.
The new Medion Akoya Mini E1312 netbook will run on the Windows XP OS, but could also run on Windows 7 once available. The netbook will come in a choice of black or white. Pocket-Lint informs us that the netbook goes on sale in the UK on July 12, 2009, with a price of £339.99.
