Samsung are looking to release their ‘highest performance’ 1080p monitor this August. The monitor is called the Samsung XL2370 and is has a 23-inch backlit screen. The monitor is said to be very similar to the Samsung P2370L.
A quick rundown of the specifications show that it is ‘finger-slim’, it has a 2ms response time and supports full 1080p. The major difference between the Samsung XL2370 and the Samsung P2370L is that the 2M:1 contrast ratio on the P2370L has been increased on the XL2370 to 5M:1, although a lot of users will not be able see the difference for general usage, gamers and video editors should see a great improvement.
Currently the Samsung P2370L retails at $399 therefore with it being so similar to the XL2370 you would expect a slight increase on the price but not too difference.

Very nice specs, but a bit overpriced in the monitor market right now. I can get a very decent 21″-22″ inch monitor at a local electronics supermart right now for $129-$149.
interesting.. this is being release while the P2370L is not yet available. I guess they’re replacing the $399 P2370L with this.. and the original announcement of the P2370L was a ruse to discourage people from buying from competitors..
