Sprint to release 3G femtocell before AT&T

If you have been keeping a close eye on the upcoming release of the 3G femtocell, you’ll want to know that it looks as if Sprint are winning the race ahead of AT&T to release the device first.

As reported from SlashGear, Sprint’s VP of device and technology development Mathew Oommen has gone on record and stated that they will be first to launch a 3G femtocell before the end of the year.

If the news is true, it means that Sprint customers will benefit from enhanced voice-call reception and EVDO Rev.A coverage.
