Call Of Duty on PS3, disc read errors and Treyarch
By: Alan Ng | July 2, 2009 | 7 CommentsHave you suffered from the infamous disc read error on your PS3 console? An article we have found has stated that the cause for the error could be Call of Duty: World at War, which was developed by Treyarch.
The news is according to ZKG, who have written a detailed report on how Call of Duty, more specifically, Treyarch’s game is to blame for all these disc read errors.
Midway through their article, they state that they had contact from a former employee from Infinity Ward who had this to say on the issue:
They said that the way that Treyarch’s code is executed and organized causes the disc to spin too fast in the PS3 thus blowing the Blu Ray lens and that is what causes all those disc read errors.
