Following the release of Mozilla Firefox 3.5 a lot of reviews are emerging, all of the reviews seem very happy with the newest version, however most do state that as competition gets harder Mozilla are struggling impact the browser market as much as previous versions had. CNET have released a demo video showing some of the new features, you can see this below.
As with previous versions Firefox 3.5 is available for pretty much all major platforms, Windows, Mac, Linux and Windows Portable. Some of the new features that this latest version now includes are, quick and easy private browsing, improved clear history options, support for OGG, support for Theora and most importantly improved performance.
Just under 8 hours after the release Mozilla were reporting over 2 million downloads, and it is no surprise given Firefox’s popularity.
All in all this was a much needed release that just nudges Firefox 3.5 ahead of its competitors, however if they leave it another year until their next major improvement they could lose a huge customer base.
Head over to CNET for a fully detailed review, image gallery and videos, and don’t forget if you would like to download the latest version of Firefox you can find it here.
