Released: Sony OLED Walkman
By: Peter Chubb | July 1, 2009 | 1 CommentWe have known for some time that Sony was to release an OLED walkman, but as yet we had no idea as to the release date. We can now tell you that you can now pre-order a 16GB and 32GB X Series Walkman Video MP3 Player for $299.99 and $399.99 respectively.
Amazon will ship the OLED walkman on July 3, 2009, while Sony will start shipping tomorrow, July 2, 2009. SoftSailer have remarked that they do not think purchasing the new Sony Walkman would be a great idea, as the iPod Touch now has the new iPhone OS 3.0, which brings with it a host of improvements.
Microsoft also has its new Zune HD, which is certain to have a host of features that are better than the new OLED Sony Walkman. If you still wish to go for the Sony device, then you will be pleased to know that the device comes with 100 free MPs downloads.
Just a last bit of advice, Amazon are offering free shipping and a discount, not sure how much though.
