Palm Pre Sales Beat Expectations

When Palm released the Palm Pre they expected quite high sales, but according to reports these estimates were vastly underestimated. Palm is currently producing 15,000 units per day in an attempt to keep ahead of demand.

Apart from its nice design the thing that seems to have impressed most users is its easy to use stable Operating System (webOS).

Prior to the launch of the Palm Pre, Palm had suffered eight consecutive quarterly losses, with the initial success of the Palm Pre, Palm will be hoping that this is a step in the right direction. Not only can Palm make money from their handsets they can also make money by allowing other smartphones to use their impressive webOS.
