Microsoft’s Xbox Live getting Silverlight
By: Alan Ng | July 1, 2009 | 1 CommentIt has been revealed that the Xbox 360 console is to recieve Microsoft Silverlight technology within the next year, according to a recent announcement from Microsoft.
As reported from TeamXbox, the addition of Microsoft Silverlight will allow companies to build advertising campaigns which will turn ordinary ads into interactive experiences for Xbox 360 users.
Sean Alexander, director at Microsoft’s Advertising Business Group had this to say on Silverlight’s arrival:
”Today, movie trailers are available in a high-definition (HD) format, but Silverlight will deliver 1080p HD and 5.1 surround sound without discs directly into the Xbox.”
