HTC Snap and Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade

Are you a HTC Snap owner? Its one of HTC’s latest devices and comes equipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 amongst other features. Customers who were thinking of picking up a Snap may have been put off by the slightly outdated WinMo 6.1 OS, but a recent leak has hinted that the device is set for a upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5

That is according to WMPowerUser, who have obtained the leak from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). They have stated that a Windows Mobile 6.5 build for the HTC Cedar is currently under works. For those of you that are unaware, the HTC Cedar is Verizon’s version of the HTC Snap.

Its not sure whether the 6.5 upgrade will only apply to Verizon’s HTC Cedar, or all future versions of the HTC Snap, but it’s still great news. We’ll keep you updated on further details.
