The HTC Hero has been spotted on Orange’s website, although it is not currently available it is ‘coming soon’, no date has been confirmed. It is thought that the handset will be available free of charge to customers who sign 18 month contracts, and perhaps some high usage 12 month contracts.
The handset is the second HTC handset that Orange offer, they also offer the HTC Touch. Although Orange are the first to advertise this handset in the UK it is expected that T-Mobile will unveil the same handset soon, however rumors suggest they are said to be calling it the G1 Touch.
Another thing to add is that both company’s are currently only said to be offering the graphite edition of the handset, so people wanting the white Teflon-coated version will have to look elsewhere, unless the companies decide to stock them too.

Typically, orange will mess up the interface! and offer the phone long after the buzz has worn off. I’m with orange and they never get the good phones, cant wait till my contract finishes.
