Universal Phone Chargers: Does it matter to you?

The biggest problem that we all have with cell phones is that all brands of phones require a different type of charger. This means that in any one house you could have two or three different chargers, unless you have one of those big and bulky universal chargers.

There is so good news though, as we reported in an earlier post that cell phone makers are to start making their handsets with a universal charging port. You have to wonder why they did not do this years ago, but we all know it was about the money.

With Apple, Motorola, Nokia, RIM and Samsung all signing up for the universal charging port, they are to use a micro-USB connector, which will be on the market next year. Does it really matter to you that all these phones will now have one universal charger.
