RIM’s Busy In 2009: Blackberry Tour 9630 and Storm 2

It looks as if RIM is still going to have their hands full until the end of year, with the upcoming releases of the Blackberry Tour 9630 and Blackberry Storm 2 handsets.

As reported from FierceWireless, Sprint are preparing to heavily promote the upcoming Tour in order to boost sales. The company is planning to release the Tour sometime this Summer for $199.99 on a two-year contract and after $150 in rebates.

The Blackberry Storm on the other hand, is scheduled for a release in October. The release of both phones is going to mean a very busy period for RIM.

Let us know if you are planning to pick up either of these phones. Theres more info in the link above.

  1. I bought the Storm on release, and truly enjoy it despite the software bugs at first(since updated and fixed of course) and can’t wait to upgrade to the Storm 2.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 might be the phone for me. I’ve been with Verizon over 5-6 years, since middle school…, and since I am still do not found a phone that I (love!) for Verizon. I really really like the EnV because texting was god, but limited is all other features. Love the Iphone but will NEVER switch to at&t. BBS2 - I hope your the phone that I like in OCT.

My Sprint contract is about to end and I’m eager to leave and join AT&T or Verizon. I get a really hefty employee discount through my company too. I NEED the Storm (or Storm 2), but I can’t decide whether to keep waiting and just get the Storm 2 when it comes out (if it ever does soon!) or go with something in AT&T right now…. What do you think? Why would you NEVER switch to AT&T?
