PS3 v2.90 firmware will come before 3.0 update
By: Alan Ng | June 30, 2009 | 4 CommentsPS3 users listen up, as it has been revealed over the weekend that Sony are planning to release PS3 firmware v.2.90 first, before the much anticipated firmware v.3.0 is released.
That’s according to TheSixthAxis, who have spoken to a undisclosed source regarding the ‘huge overhaul’ update that is planned for firmware 3.0.
Apparantly, that firmware is around ’6 months or so away’ from release and v.2.90 will arrive before then. What do you think of the news? If the rumors are true, it means that firmware 3.0 will arrive around Christmas time, maybe the perfect time for Sony?
