Good news for those of you who seem to have endless/needless phone chargers tucked away in drawers as it has been confirmed that from next year, phone makers will start making handsets with a universal charging port.
As reported from PC World, Apple, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and RIM are the big names that have signed up to make handsets with a standard phone charger which will make use of the micro-USB connector.
It’s going to be one of those moves that will make it better for the environment in the future, so it’s good news all round.
No longer will you have to keep all those annoying old chargers lying around in the house, just one universal charger, starting from next year.
