iPhone 3GS: Still no jailbreak and unlock
By: Alan Ng | June 30, 2009 | Leave a CommentAre you one of the countless iPhone 3GS owners who are waiting patiently for any news regarding a jailbreak and unlock? Well it has been revealed recently that the iPhone Dev Team have found a solution which will unlock the the iPhone OS 3.0-powered 3GS.
As IntoMobile reports though, the downside of the news is that the team are yet to release the jailbreak as they have decided to postpone the release for now.
According to the report, the dev team have said that if they were to release the iPhone 3GS jailbreak now, it would give Apple the option to patch the exploit in future iPhone OS updates.
Basically, it looks as if the team are holding out for Apple to release an iPhone patch now, to fix up all of the bugs that are present. If they release the jailbreak after that, it means that future iPhone 3GS owners can unlock there phones, an option they wouldn’t have if they released it now. Phew.
