Apple and Dell sealed-in laptop batteries

When Apple and Dell started releasing laptops with sealed in batteries in general it was frowned upon by many experts.
There were two main reasons for this disagreement, one of the points experts made was if the battery became faulty or stopped holding its charge it wouldn’t be user-swappable, the second reason was that a lot of users carry spare batteries when they are on flights as there are no facilities to charge.
The main reason manufacturers opted for a sealed battery is that it cuts down severely on design aspects that are usually associated with a removable battery, such as connectors hinges catches etc, therefore there are less things to go wrong. Also the advances in batteries and CULV technologies now allow a lot longer battery life, exceeding double the time what old models could sustain.
There is a three page article on what implications sealed batteries have, check out InfoWorld for that report. In my opinion there is a good argument for both cases, but in the future we will begin to see more and more sealed batteries.
