Nokia N97 firmware update and problems that need fixing

It has been confirmed that a new firmware update is already on the way for the new Nokia N97 smartphone. ‘N97 SW 1.1 (11.x.021)’ will be coming on July 1st and will attempt to fix a whole host of some of the bugs that users have been experiencing.

As reported from BGR, the news was revealed via Nokia Conversation’s Twitter account, which you can view here. No official notes have been released as to what the firmware update will address exactly, but it’s fair to say the update might please some of you who are still raging about the ‘off center spacebar key’ issue.

We’ll keep you updated when the update goes live on the 1st.

It’s quite a long time after the firmware was released, but I must say it did wonders to the n97.

Had a look at fixya’s n97 page, most of the questions were solved by the upgrade. In my mind that means that Nokia are listening to the crowed.

    Good job nokia!
