The recent release of the iPhone 3GS has been a huge success and seen a high number of sales, however yesterday it was revealed that there is a shortage of handsets at some of Apple’s retail stores, this is said to be a similar problem to what happened with the launch of the iPhone 3G however not on such a large scale this time around.
On Sunday 13 of the 211 Apple Stores across the US were completely out of stock of the iPhone 3GS, with a lot of other stores extremely low on stock. The white iPhone 3GS (16GB) is said to be out of stock in over half of its stores, and is currently the hardest version to get hold of.
Apple is said to be shipping iPhone 3GSs to most stores almost daily so these shortages shouldn’t last long, check out the full story on ComputerWorld.
