BlackBerry Tour 9630: Verizon and Sprint release dates

Following our reviews earlier this month on the new BlackBerry Tour 9630 there has been much speculation about when the handset will be available on your preferred network. The confirmation dates are a surprise as many reports implied a much longer wait for the release.

On Saturday we reported that the handset would become available on Verizon Wireless on July 12th for a pricetag of $199 USD, for that price tag you will have to accept a two year agreement, this in my opinion seems a very fair price to pay. The release date confirmation is a bit of a shock as earlier reports had expected an August release date.

We also have a confirmation date for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 on the Sprint network, the release date is expected to be July 20th and will also retail at around $199 USD with a similar agreement to Verizon Wireless, this confirms our uncertain reports this time last week.
