The new Apple iPhone 3G S has been out for little over a week now, and already we have heard of some problems that people are having with the must have device. We reported the other day about a strange rattling sound coming from the back of the new handset.
Well there seems to be a new issue being reporting by owners of the white Apple iPhone 3G S, and that is an overheating issue. Engadget have visited a French website where owners of these handsets have noticed a strange brownish / pinkish discoloration on the back.
The user of the white iPhone 3G S said that this was caused by overheating when he was using the GPS and 3G of the phone. This certainly makes the cool white version of the phone look cheap and tacky.
We would like to know if you are having the same issue with your White iPhone 3G S?

I have the 3G version. I installed 3.0 software the first day it came out. I noticed mine too was getting hot and the battery life seemed shorter. Thought perhaps it was my imagination until this morning watching Fox News I saw there were similar reports of overheating.
I’ve had mine little more than 4 days and now have pink/brown lines running down the back of the white 3gs 32gb
I have the 3G and ever since i downloaded 3.0 my phone gets VERY hot when left on the charger over night, meaning im not using it. Its just sitting there and becoming extremely hot just for charging.
