T-Mobile-G1-and-myTouch-3G-No-HTC-Sense-UI

Disappointing news for any of you with a Google branded phone, such as the USA’s G1 or the myTouch. The Sense UI that is used on the HTC Hero will not be available for any Google branded phone. This is due to licensing terms, similar to those of which that disable the same phones using Microsoft Exchange clients.

Reviews for the Sense UI so far have been good and for those of you who own a Android phone that is not Google branded you should be able to run the redefined interface. Chances are that hackers will bypass the restrictions for Google branded phones however this will be breaking terms of the licensing.

All this said Android is still a very impressive OS without the Sense UI, so its not a major issue if your phone is Google branded, check Engadget for the full story.
