Samsung Omnia with Android OS Installed
By: Jamie Pert | June 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentAs many of you know Samsung’s i7500 runs Google’s Android, however the Samsung i900 uses Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, however hackers have now managed to install Android on the i900, this is still in its early stages but an achievement none the less.
Getting the phone to boot up was hard enough to accomplish, now lays the task of getting all of the phones hardware to work with the foreign Operating System. Currently there are a lot of glitches that need to be ironed out, but with the progress that has been made already, a stable system should be too far of.
If you head over to IntoMobile they provide links and information to download the latest software build. If you manage to create a fully functional Android installer you could win $450, or if you do not have the know how you can add to the prize fund on AndroidOmnia.
