Asus’s Eee Keyboard was due to be released any-time now, however Asus have now released a statement stating that its release has been put back until late August.
Asus have kept a lot of important information close to their chest for example it is no longer clear whether the PC-in-a-keyboard will be running Windows XP or a version of Moblin, another detail Asus have yet to confirm is what hardware will be within the Eee keyboard.
Asus still haven’t revealed an approximate retail price, obviously this is a major factor in whether or not the device will become successful, this is more than likely the reason why they seem to be considering opting for the free open-source Moblin rather then Windows XP. As more details emerge we will keep you posted.
