By: Peter Chubb | June 25, 2009 | Leave a CommentFor those of us who did not already know, Microsoft have unveiled its official Windows 7′s packaging, which we will get to see for ourselves when the new OS is launched on October 22, 2009. Engadget tell us that the new Windows 7 Packaging is now 37 percent lighter and 50 percent better with its econometrics compared to Vista packaging.
Microsoft have now made the new packaging easier to open, this is a result in the reduction of elements in the package, there are now only three, the case itself, the paper sleeve and the Getting Started Guide. The new plastic case now opens just like a standard DVD case.
The Windows Blog explains that this new case was the result of what users wanted, other Windows packaging in the past was big and bulky, and often much harder to get into. Let us know if you really care about the packaging of Windows 7, add your comments below.
