The iPhone 3.0 OS has been out now for just little over a week (Our Five Best Features) and already we have seen a few new turn-by-turn GPS apps released. The latest Apple iPhone Navigation App is from Gokivo, but it is no secret that we are all waiting to see what TomTom has to offer.
Cnet Reviews thought that they would spend some time with the new Gokivo iPhone navigation app, and offer us their review. Cnet starts of by saying that they expect to see some sophistication with this app, as it is made from the same people who gave us AAA Mobile, Verizon’s VZ Navigator, and AT&T’s Yellowpages.com.
Gokivo is great in the way that it wants to do it all, you can search for destinations, play iTunes songs, which fade out when directions are being dictated, pair with Bluetooth as well as the all-important turn-by-turn navigation. The problem was, that it did not do all of these uniformly.
There was a major problem with the app though, and that was it would often have trouble finding a request, which would then time out. To read a full review of the Gokivo iPhone Navigation App, visit Cnet News.
