Garmin 7×5 Series GPS: Patch to fix firmware

The recent firmware update was not the best move that Garmin ever did for its 7×5 Series GPS, but it has not taken them long to release a new software update that is thought to fix the current firmware issues. Engadget inform us that the new software update is ready to download via its WebUpdater.

If you are one of the unlucky few, whose Garmin 7×5 Series GPS will not even turn on, then there is an online support section where you can request a return authorization so you can return it for repair under its warranty.

Garmin have also admitted that this issue could also be affecting some of its other models; these include the GPSMAP 620 / 640, 800 series, 8×5 series and the zūmo 660. All models will also be receiving a new firmware update soon.
