Apple TV 2.4 Update: iPod and iPhone remote improved

Good news for you Apple TV media hub users out there, Apple have now released an upgrade to the iPhones Remote application and also a new firmware version for the hub. This software requires OS 3.0 to be installed for it to work.

The main purpose of the technology is to allow users to control their media hub via their iPhone or iPod Touch. With the combination of Apple TV 2.4 and Remote 1.3 users can play, pause, rewind, fast forward, skip chapters and much more, all by applying touch screen commands. For a list of different commands be sure to check AppleInsider.

As with most touch recognition software at first it can be hard to get used to but soon you will have no problem. There is also an announcement on Apple’s website showing changes that have been made.
