Lenovo’s ThinkPad T400s: Only 0.83-inches thin
By: Peter Chubb | June 23, 2009
The Lenovo ThinkPad T400s is just 0.83-inches thin, making it thinner than most netbooks on the market, but is more than four times as powerful. The new ThinkPad T400s looks to bridge the gap from a netbook to a notebook.
It is no secret that these ultramobile netbooks have some key weak areas, and a 15-inch notebook loves to drain its battery, so Lenovo hopes to have hit the sweet spot as Engadget puts it. The T400s has a 14.1-inch screen and in its basic from weighs just under four pounds.
Inside you have an Intel 2.53 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, a choice of either a 250 GB HDD or a 128 GB SSD. Other hardware includes a 9.5mm slim DVD burner or Blu-ray player, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, optional WiMAX / WWAN / Bluetooth / ultra-wideband and a multitouch trackpad.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T400s is now available to buy, but has a price tag of $1,599, which seems to be a little on the high side.
