There is always a huge amount of rumors about new games on forum websites, and we have just found a rumor on psu.com that we thought you might want to know. It seems that Guerrilla Games is working on Killzone 3, the sequel to the popular Killzone 2 on the Sony PS3.
The forum is uncertain how authentic the rumor is, but it is certainly one worth a mention. Psu.com came to the conclusion of a new Killzone by chance really, as they asked someone involved with GG about the co-op patch for Killzone 2.
CG’s answer made the forum come up with the idea that the game developer is working on Killzone 3. They said only a handful of developers are working on the co-op patch, as most of the Killzone 2 developers are working on a new project.
Psu.com then asked if they meant they were working on Killzone 3, they replied “Ahh, well - I can´t say for sure, but it seems very likely.” We will keep you informed of any development.
So if there is to be a Killzone 3, what is your wishlist for features and weapons.

chaingun would be nice + machine gun with a grenade launcher attachet similar to resistance
how about a tesla cannon
a pair of 7ZGs (small full auto rapid fire handguns)
Icenade (a granade that freezes people)
ShotBlast (a shotgun that fires a huge wave of energy)
Decoy Drones
Attack Drones
a ostrich hammer rip off
gas gun (something that generates poisonus gas)
Boom Rifle (a rifle that shoots a small detonator charge)
rocket luncher
a leaser gun
and a self destructing xbox 360 that erupst into flames killing all in a 5 metre radius.
Co-op
Focus more on the helghast story.
More Story Telling
Night vision mode!
Vehicles!
Better Character Designs and better story script
Use the new controller settings from patch 1.27 as default
Have more collapsable walls and ability to take out more buildings
Add More weather elements like snow and especially mud pools, have more story scripted events like running away from an exploding building or a giant enemy, something way more dramatic, resident evil really makes the player make and be aware of his decisions.
Co-op!
More colour and environmental variety look at gears 2 or even resi 5 does try to mix it up.
more interesting weapons please consult with ratchet and clank devs for ideas
co-op
VEHICLES
more weapons
stronger storyline
and i think consulting with the ratchet and clank devs like Lans said would be SWEET they get really creative
Unless they have radically found a way to get alot more out of the console I think they should hold back. It would need to be dramatically better. I love Killzone 2 but i think they should really refine the game because theres alot of clipping issues.
The best and most most effective part of the game is the standard assault gun when zooming and reloading. very cinematic like doom movie’s fps gun sequence.
What i would love to see them do which wouldn’t be too hard as its been done on pc for years. Is to create a stereoscopic driver for killzone 2 so you can play with lcd shutter glasses in real 3d. Meaning 2 real ingame perspectives for each eye. Advantage is the game would be really immersive and you won’t get headaches.
The other innovation that games haven’t quite reached yet is binaural sound. It essentially allows you to hear things around in an eerily real way. eg.
If you started in an interrogation room and a helghast was walking around you can hear him as though you can reach for him. even whisper in your ear. The effect is incredible. Look for “virtual haircut” on youtube. It will require headphones to reproduce the sounds to your ears. The sound was really good in killzone 2 and spacial but you can litterally hear someone breathing in your ear with binaural.
I like Killzone series but i really think they should add 3d video/sound.
Guerilla hit the nail on the head when they said games usually are large in scale but feel empty. They added density to the world.
I’d love to see them have a chance to build killzone on a really high spec pc and run it to the max like console. its a well known fact that pc games don’t push the pc very hard like a console. Maybe make a unit for an arcade store or game shop. It’s be nice to see where developers can really with a game.
Weapons are just fine… more?… doesn’t matter.
What matters is the story.
Improve the story and include co-op mode and you have a CoD killer.
