Filed under: Gaming, Sony Playstation 3, Xbox 360

We are yet another step closer to Guitar Hero 5 on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, as Activision has released the box art for the upcoming game. You can clearly see on the cover, music equipment this includes an old amp, guitar and a guitar case in the in the foreground.
According to PWN or Die, there will be 85 songs by 83 artists; these include tracks from Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, The Rolling Stones, Santana, White Stripes and many more. There are a number of new features for Guitar hero 5, these include play any combination of instruments and Jump in/jump out of songs in party play.
The game will use the standard Guitar Hero Controllers; this includes the microphone, drums and guitar. PWN or Die are not certain if the new game will support the DJ Hero controller, but it would be great to see the guitar and the turntable working together.
There have been a number of rumors that Guitar Hero could become a reality TV show.

Although you say guitar hero 5 is/may not be compatible with DJ hero- as far as what i have read from Activion is that Guitar hero controllers work on the actual DJ hero game as they have released a video of a dj and guitar controller player combining both musical inputs to the game.
