AT&T and iPhone OS 3.0 tethering surcharge: news update
By: Daniel Chubb | June 23, 2009 | Leave a CommentAs you know there is still two features you are awaiting to be activated, the new MMS feature and tethering, but as you are aware there is a slight rumor going around saying that there is a $55 surcharge for the tethering feature. According to AT&T all these rumors are false and that all of the new features available are free.
The all new tethering feature will enable iPhone users to connect their laptops to the internet using an AT&T network rather then having to find a Wi-Fi hotspot, so it lets you roam the internet where ever you are making it easier for you if you are constantly using the internet.
Although AT&T have said that these surcharges are false people are still concerned as their logo wasn’t shown at the Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, which was held in San Francisco earlier this month. This has left people speculating whether or not the tethering will be available or if you have to pay for it.
Although AT&T have posted reports on the tethering update trying to stop anymore rumors, they still failed to mention when the update will be available.
