You may have read our post last week regarding Apple testing their latest version of OS X, well now a version of the latest MAC OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard has been released to development teams, a video tour of the OS has been created showing off some of the newest features and improvements, one of the video’s is shown below but the rest can be found here.
The system the videos were created on was a Macbook Pro running a 2.4Ghz Intel Core2Duo along with 4Gb of RAM, the system boasted a seemingly quick install time of less than 40 minutes, a 50 second boot time and an amazing 4 second shutdown time.
The videos cover a wide range of functionality, including a completely re-written version of Finder, and QuickTime Player X which has a new sleeker design and a lot of new functions, some of these functions were locked down in previous versions of QuickTime and had to be purchased separately. Also QuickTime X allows direct upload to YouTube which saves a lot of hassle. Don’t forget other videos can be found here.
