2010 Ford Taurus Review: First Drive

Ford have a huge hill to climb when it comes to the PR of its new 2010 Ford Taurus, it seems as if the automaker will have to educate the American consumer, if they hope for them to become attached to the new vehicle, because the old model was seen as something of an icon.

AutoBlog have been lucky enough to have a first drive of the 2010 Ford Taurus, and from what they say, things certainly look very promising. Ford are hoping to take the new Taurus up market, and this is a risky move for them, but something that Ford feels needs to be done.

The Ford Taurus used to be in the same league as a Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, but Ford is setting their sights higher with its 2010 model. The new model is now a much bigger animal; it is now seven inches longer than a Hyundai Genesis, which is a big car itself. The 2010 Ford Taurus is to get the new Ecoboost V-6 engine.
