2010: New iPhone 4G S, could it happen?

Just over a month ago all the rumors started of a new Apple iPhone, which we all assumed was going to be the new 4G model, this however did not turn out to be the case. The new handset that was announced at WWDC 2009 was the iPhone 3G S, but that does not mean that the 4G version is not coming.

Over the past three years we have had a new iPhone model, so that means that another new model could be launched in 2010, but will this be the iPhone 4G, could it actually happen? When an iPhone 4G is finally released, we hope that it looks a little different to the current iPhone model as that design is starting to feel a little tired now. Let us hope that the new 4G model would look something like this Ultra-Thin iPhone 4G Concept. There are a few more Apple iPhone 4G designs, but it is always hard choosing the best from the bunch.

There have been a number of reports that when an iPhone 4G does actually happen, then it could gain more subscribers faster than the 3G did. There is a good reason for this, as we all crave new technology we will want to get out hands on the latest and fastest mobile broadband.

As we mentioned above, there have now been three new iPhone models over the past three years, and if a new 4G model is released in 2010, then this will prove a problem for those who have just signed in to a new contract with the new iPhone 3G S, this is because of the long contract period.

So the question is could we see a new iPhone 4G in 2010?

    AT&T CONTRACT WITH APPLE IS DONE IN 2010

    THE NEW MODEL WILL BE ON VERIZON. SO WHO KNOWS

    God I hope for a 4G iPhone next year. I’ve had 2 heartbreaks since I bought my iPhone 2G last year. The iPhone 3G came ou but I couldn’t get it because I didn’t buy it late enough. Then this year I couldn’t buy the iPhone 3G S because I didn’t buy my phone early enough. Well not this time. GWAAHAHAHAHHAHA. and apple… Please… Lose the plastic-”were going green cuz were kind so buy more stuff” crapola.

    I really sure hope for a new iphone next year.
    I have been saving all my money for something.
    Then the new iphone comes out.
    But i need a camera and a tennis racket before anything else.
    So i hope there will be one next year that i can save for.
    There is no point buying and old one then a new one comes out.

    please steve jobs please have the iphone for june 19 2010 green because, green is my favorite colr!!!!!!!!! and u should definetly have it out buy then beacuse the more money u will be making the better phone u will make so i hope tht u will have the iphone oput buy then

    so in January 2010 orange and vodafone are also getting the iphone in the uk, this will be the iphone 3gs, so there will be also of pissed off people if a new one comes out next year

    What about the new os Android? I think Apple Can’t wait to release a new Iphone, especially with new Android devices coming out in 2010 such as Xperia x3, 1ghz processor with 8mega pix camera, 4inch and so on…
    Then only good thing about the Iphone is the usability, even my grandad is able to use, the rest is suck!!1 Battery, camera,etc… However, if it is true that a new dual core Iphone is coming out, that will be great… but they better move, android will be the future, I reckon….

    Verizon and AT&T will both be moving towards LTE for their 4G network. The iPhone 4G will work with both verizon and At&T… problem is that this is about 2-3 years away. Though it may be 4G enabled…. you won’t be surfing 4G outside of a major city before your contract is up!

    Well of course theyre going to to make one better. android and meamo(sp?) are all great advances and thats why when the iphone comes out with 4g the model and features and hardware will be greatly increased and yes they are going with verizon. apple doesnt wanted to be limited with atts 2nd rate network. btw, im typing this using the airmouse app from the apple app store on my 3gs to comuter. boss!

    people have just got to come to terms with the fact that the moment they buy a brand new phone it will be obsolete. Phone manufacturers know this, why do you think they do it? To get your money fools!!!

    This is NOT gonna happen! At&t can’t even support 3G yet (not totally and properly)! If there is an iPhone 4G…its gonna take another 2 or 3 years to be launched.
    And btw, Apple’s and At&t’s contract actually gets over in 2011. :)

    There are too many rules and regulations in buying and dealing with cell phone companies. Something they seem to forget, we are the customers, they are the service. The control they try to have is bull—-!. Two year contracts, certain times when you can upgrade phones, bill amounts never the same from month to month, pretty awful customer service overall. As frequent as the new phones come out, you should be able to switch phones anytime you want if you have the money.

    When is a iphone that will support 900 mhz and 2100 mhz umts for europe and most other country’s like australia and new zealand and other country’s in the south pacific iphones for europe and the south pacific like australia and new zealand and other country’s should have bands 850 mhz 900 mhz 2100 mhz i don’t know why most country’s get iphones with 1900 mhz witch is mainly used in the usa and useless in other country’s

    There actually is a 4g network coming out already with AT&T they are releasing it in specific markets right now. This is also why they took the old “3G” laptop card away and just have the “Lightning 4G” card… I work for AT&T

    Why would you call it the Iphone 4G S? all the S means is second edition. If anything it will just be Iphone 4G or maybe Iphone 3G T.

    Why not in colours? I want blue. And I'm sure someone else wants pink. And that old lady across the street wants yellow.

    So, IN COLOURS. Same goes for the iPod Touch. If iPod Nanos come in colours, so should the iPhone (:

    Actually no ur wrong at least for now ! Do ur reseach b4 u make a statment! But if u dont want to do the reading jus think about it! 1 verizon has been trashing the iphone with there corney droid commercials! Verizon does not use sim cards so goin with verizon would mean loosing out on all the over seas consumers seeing as how most europeans use prepaid sims! Also i have a verizon phone thu my company but use my personal phone (iphone) more even tho i dont have to pay for the verizon phone….y? Bc at&ts 3g is way faster forget fat luke wilson the fact of the matter is it really is faster and more dependable so apple would be selling there self short by limiting the phones to verizon costomer! Now will apple come out with a so called world version of the iphone that can b use on all 4 cellular freqencys? Quite possiable but as for as apple totally reconstructing the phone (taking out sim slot) jus to b able to exclusivly offer it to only verizon costomer? Most deffinitly not!!!!!

    do people realise that 4g means fourth generation iphone not 4g network. and the s in 3g s means speed because the phones hardware was updated, following apples cycle of upgrade hardware, the upgrade software, it will be all about os 4 this year!
