Released: America’s Army 3, any problems?

We have been waiting for what seems like an eternity, but now we can tell you that America’s Army 3 has finally been released. America’s Army fans will know that this new game is the official U.S. Army game, so on paper it should be great.

Voodoo Extreme explains that America’s Army 3 is more authentic than the previous game, offering more detail to military elements; these include things like training, technology and weapons. The audio is also better than any other military game currently on the market.

The new game has been built on the Unreal Engine 3, and as a result, the characters, environments and animations are stunningly realistic. There are 15 different map / mission combinations, and the new advanced training allows you to unlock new abilities as well as customize your gear.

    You can\’t actually register to play online, I downloaded the game from Steam, And when I try to create a Multiplayer-profile is asks me for the e-mail adress!
    Even though I have given it!
    And I am registered at Americas Army website.

    On steam it reads: “This game is currently unavailable, please try again at another time.”

    It has been like this for a while now. Their servers are overloaded and the game itself, training to be exact, appears to have several problems. Sometimes you can receive the ‘failure’ even when you get a 100%.

    Right now I just wish I could at least get in the game >.<

    This game blows! They had a beta and had time to work out the issues, they did not do that!

    Basically everyone is having issues with the game, but I should not have expected better from the Army I guess…

    It starts up very slow, and it always runs in windowed mode,
    and sometimes i can’t login.

    WTF!!!

    Disconect ure joystick, i had the same problem, pulled the plug of it out and it was fixed

    The worst release of a big PC game in a long while…

    The servers are so messed up that it’s impossible to even play the game.

    The game is packed with bugs that cause crashes,
    Most before you even load the actual game.

    I’d advise you save hours of your time and a few gigs of HD space and wait until they release an update for the game, or at the very least fix their server issues.

    Once i complete the firing range section, and click continue to move on to weapons familiarization, it moves me to my soldiers screen and shows that i haven’t done, anything, and no matter how many times i try, i cant move on to weapons familiarization.

    For an exclusivly online game with a huge fan base they should have anticipated problems with server overload.
    Alas, Like 90% of the games released they just didnt have all the things completed before the big day.

    The end result: Tens of Thousands of people are unable to download or log in or complete training to even get a chance to play the game and see what the hub-bub was all about.

    The developer Team was fired the next day under some propaganda guise of \”planned consoldation of facilities for better communications\” as if it were in the works all along.

    I think the release tanked and created a negative impact on the audience (future recruites) and the crap rolled downhill.

    Unlike private enterprise, In the military, responsibility along with reward or disciplining is the word.

    In this case the Developers were responsible and the failed release resulted in diciplinary action….they were fired.

    Even so this is a great game and if the previous history dictates it will be the best shooter out there after all is worked out.

    Hi guys,

    I have a couple of issues too and was wondering if u guys are having the same.
    I can play the weapon familiarization now, cuz my stats were back after a day. But when i complete it, all weapons on expert, it says i’m a no go? :S And btw and still won’t save it.

    whenever i go into internet multiplayer in this game it always says 0% info on 53(or so) servers. Pleeze help!!!

    I downloaded AA3 off steam and was, quite frankly, unimpressed.
    1st trouble creating account: 1 hour
    2nd game consistently crashes…
    3rd bad visuals, and it’s on high!

    and last but not least keeps putting me back on first training course after the second training course saying i havent done a thing!!!

    so sad…

    i downloaded the game off of steam and it wont even launch, it says that and i quote, “AA3.game has stopped working” and then i have to close it any suggestions?

    only thing i can do in this game, is log in… then the game always freezes in the “Loading Traning Mission”…

    That´s all i can do…..

    Game makes my pc bsod after a 1 or 2 hours of playing it i have a 4 gigs of ram vista 64 ,q6600, 8800gts my comp never bsod only with this game!!!THE GAME IS HORRIBLE!!

    When I click on the game in my steam game section, it asks for an admin password, after i type that, it loads the white graphic that says americas army 3 and it finally says “AA3GAME.exe has stopped working”
    HELP!! :(

    For me, i complete the machine gun, gernade launcher, and the frag gernades, all expert, and it says i failed the gernade portion.

    sometimes, about 20% of the times i try and find servers, it says a problem was encountered and the server list cannot be found , wtf is that about

    YES I AM HAVING BIG PROBLEMS WITH GAME I CANT EVEN BEAT BASIC TRAINING PART CUZ EVRYTHG MOVES SO SLOW LIKE THERE IS A GLITCHE IN THE GAME BY TIME I GET TO NEXT TARGET I CANT HIT IT CUZ EVRYTHING MOVING AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED BUT GAME IS STILL RUNNING AT NORMAL SPEED HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM

    i downloaded the game from steam and when i opened it it just came up with a small thin rectangle and the sighn that shows the game is trying to load and it doesnt load so i tyed to close the small box and it said progam is not responding and i cant playthe game!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

    The game has major lag problems, even if you have the recommended requirements. This happens online AND offline.

    im in bct in phase 3 and for some reason i cant see me health bar or or any side bars for example in phase 3 u gotta work on the dummy to learn how to heal a person nothing comes up i can see every1 perfect but cant see the menu to choose from to heal the person ;((

    Just so everyone knows….
    The issues are gone, no more major login issues, and lag is fixed.
    So people should try it.
    This is an ADULT, game, where you must be willing to CAMP to win, that is what you do. If you charge, you die :D

    MY VIDEO IS HALF!!!

    I realized THAT SOME IMAGES OF MY VIDEO ARE APPEARING BY HALF.

    WHEN I did The TEST MEDICATE FOR EXAMPLE ONLY SAW The COUNTER HALF OF THE LEFT SIDE.

    THE MESSAGES ARE CUT. It only appears The LEFT SIDE. BUT THE VIDEO IMAGES APPEAR, ONLY THE TEST TEXT MESSAGES MEDICATE APPEAR BY HALF. AS I do.?

    Americas Army 2 was way better. to be honest, preferred the grpahics there as well. I've got the problem that, when i downloaded it, and got into a game, It was way too slow, and for no reason. when i fired, an actual 3 seconds later, my gun fired. :S
