Chrysler to open 7 North American plants

Recently AutoBlog had reported that the Dodge Viper’s Conner Avenue facility would be fired up again thanks to the Chrysler and Fiat tie up. The automotive website is now reporting that Chrysler plans to open another 7 North American plants.
These seven plants will be fired up by the week of June 29. Below is a list of the of the factories and parts that Chrysler will be bringing online. Chrysler’s manager of electronic media communications, Ed Garsten has said that these assembly plants will again see production, which is part of their “phased production ramp-up.”
Although these plants are expected to resume production by the end of June, they will still stay idle for two ends in the end part of July; this was an already scheduled summer break.
Here are a list of the factories and parts below:
- Brampton Assembly Plant (Brampton, Ontario, Canada) - Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Challenger
- St. Louis North Assembly Plant (Fenton, MO) - Dodge Ram
- Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (Sterling Heights, MI) - Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger
- Toledo Supplier Park (Toledo, OH) - Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
- Toluca Assembly Plant (Toluca, Mexico) - Dodge Journey and Chrysler PT Cruiser
- Warren Truck Assembly Plant (Warren, MI) - Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota
- Windsor Assembly Plant (Windsor, Ontario, Canada) - Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan
