I am certain that a number of you are not happy with the price you will have to pay for a new iPhone 3G S handset. Those of you on AT&T in the U.S. will have to pay a small fortune for the handset, and those of you in the UK get a cheaper deal with O2. However if you live in Italy, then you will get yourself an unlocked iPhone3G S at a bargain, just check out some of the prices.
Unwired View have come across a leaked internal Vodafone Italy price list, the iPhone 3G S 16GB will cost EUR 619, with the larger iPhone 3G S 32GB costing EUR 719. That is roughly how much an AT&T customer will have to pay for the handset.
IntoMobile does not understand why people are moaning about how much they have to pay for a new iPhone 3G S. They certainly have a point when they mention about how much it actually costs them to build an iPhone. Just think you could get an iPhone 3GS on a two-year contract for as low as $200 in the U.S. on AT&T, but be prepared for a heavy monthly bill.
To give you an idea of how much the new iPhone 3G S will cost, check out these AT&T and O2 deals.

Not bad…I remember iPhone 3G prices for unlocked handsets were double or triple the regular price.
Not sure what exchange rate you are getting but 719.00 Euros is about $1,010.00US!
