Is Xbox Live Still Down? Microsoft say up to 24 hours

We have had users asking when is Xbox live coming back on? This is a good question and Microsoft say it could take up to 24 hours. Do you see it back yet? We reported yesterday that Microsoft decided to close Xbox Live down on June16, and was only meant to be down for 24 hours, but some users have reported that they still cannot login.

Users are not happy that they could not use some features, such as Zune Social, Zune Marketplace, along with Zune.net forums and My Xbox on Xbox.com. The forums will only be read only, so you cannot add anything new until things are up and running again.

Do not try to get too mad though, as with bad news there is always good. Microsoft is running this maintenance to get ready for some cool new features. Xbox Live will soon have facebook, last.fm and twitter. Do not worry, it will not be long before you are up and running and playing online with your friends again.
