The iPhone and iPod Touch 3.0 software update release time has certainly been a hot topic. Pocket Gamer have said that O2 UK have confirmed that the update will be made available this evening at 6 PM. This means that it will be 1PM EST and 10AM in San Francisco.
There had been a number of rumors that we would get the update a lot earlier than that, but about 50 clicks of update in iTunes and still nothing. Even though we now know that the update will not be available until this evening in the UK and in the morning in the U.S., this will not stop any of us checking for the update.
Telefonica, O2’s parent company have sent an SMS to its iPhone users in Spain, the message said that the new iPhone 3.0 OS will be available from this evening. Therefore, this is even more proof that we still have a couple of hours to go.
