Xbox Live Down on June 16: Maintenance also for Zune

Today is June 16, 2009, which means that Microsoft’s Xbox Live will be down for maintenance, this means that there will not be Zune Social, Zune Marketplace or Zune.net forums in that time either. Other sections down include My Xbox on Xbox.com, and the forums will only be read only.
According to Blast Magazine, most of the other features of xbox.com will be available, with little or no interruptions. The maintenance is to start at 12:01AM PST, and could last anything up to 24 hours. Looks like Xbox Live users will have to spend a bit of time away from their Xbox 360 and spend some time with their family instead.
Try not to get too upset with Microsoft, as they are undertaking this maintenance to get ready for a number of new features, these include Facebook, last.fm and Twitter to the paid service. So just for waiting 24 hours, the rewards will certainly be worth it.

quite basically 10 major updates 5 we know about. Project natals running software ( now instead of whne it comes out so they dont have to shut it down again ) clean sweep of system ( basically scanning and deleting and viruses / tamper software ) sky ( waste of time. should be virgin media ( already have on demand not much editing for xbox live player =p ) twitter =p ( waste of time ) and facebook ( ftw whats the point just encouraging lazy people to be more lazy) they should just use there computer adding it to xbox live just adds to the lags of 2mb/s server lol
yeh i no wat u mean, its like 8 over here in england n my live is still down… they never stick 2 the schedule lol
Well now that xbox live is back up, for next time, think of it this way: if they say 24 hours, its 24 hours from the time it went off where you live.
i was ioline again at like 2 but then my live still wouldnt work…o well ps3 is better anyway.
it is 7:55 am wed here in michigan U.S.A and still no live!
i know it is wishful thinking but maybe they have installed some servers lol have a good day everyone

did the update make it so if you get one complaint you get booted for a day because that would really suck! i think thats what happened to one of my accounts
